Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) GePeTaPa's Reynaldo Simões started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, GePeTaPa's goal looked a bit too open when Douglas Godoi came free, but Ciro Lopez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 4 minutes into the game, GePeTaPa's Umberto da Rocha nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Igor Pereira made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 7th match minute, Leitner was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cléberson Brasil to maneuver through the defense. 11 minutes into the game, Reynaldo Simões lined in a short shot 2-0 behind a frustrated Igor Pereira. Ciro Lopez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Waldemar Cabral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 16th minute, Reynaldo Simões made a precise shot to the right of Igor Pereira. Leitner's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Aloísio Fernandes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Igor Pereira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Igor Pereira didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 21st minute, which inside left pole to 4-0. Ciro Lopez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronaldinho de Amorim in the 25th minute of play. Ciro Lopez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Waldemar Cabral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. GePeTaPa's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Manoel Toledo in the 37th minute. GePeTaPa's Claudinho Cunha was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Igor Pereira in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. When Douglas Godoi fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Leitner's protests and gave Douglas Godoi a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Leitner getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Douglas Godoi hit a great ball. Reynaldo Simões received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Igor Pereira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Leitner's zone, Umberto da Rocha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Igor Pereira came out of the goal and Umberto da Rocha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Igor Pereira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reynaldo Simões, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Igor Pereira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Umberto da Rocha in the 46th minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ronaldinho de Amorim to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute of the match GePeTaPa got a corner. Leitner's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Manoel Toledo ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Manoel Toledo almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Leitner's Igor Pereira did a great save. After 55 minutes, Fernandão Mattos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Leitner and the GePeTaPa players grew even worse after the yellow card. Fernandão Mattos kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. GePeTaPa's Ciro Lopez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save GePeTaPa from getting a goal against them. Umberto da Rocha's late challenge caught a Leitner's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Umberto da Rocha helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, GePeTaPa's Umberto da Rocha got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Waldemar Cabral could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Ciro Lopez made a huge save. A collision led to GePeTaPa getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Claudinho Cunha hit a great ball. Lucas Esteves, 66 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Igor Pereira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reynaldo Simões in the 80th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 83 minutes, Fernandão Mattos took a quick shot and it went in 4-1 without a chance for Ciro Lopez to make any attempt to save it. Aloísio Fernandes kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Leitner's Armando Alvarenga shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 89th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Ciro Lopez but with some difficulty. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Reynaldo Simões in the 91st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Igor Pereira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Umberto da Rocha struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Igor Pereira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for GePeTaPa. Leitner's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
