One of Jaboticaba EC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of GePeTaPa:s goal. Manoel Toledo walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The supporters of GePeTaPa booed when Jaboticaba EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dráusio Pinho didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 54 minutes, Manoel Toledo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. GePeTaPa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Manoel Toledo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ciro Lopez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gerson Mandrak in the 56th minute. Umberto da Rocha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Charles de Almeida having to interfere. The GePeTaPa supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Jaboticaba EC's performance. The match ended with a win for Jaboticaba EC.
