If Jano Travassos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zé Augusto Félix in the 30th minute of play forced Iuarete AD's goalkeeper Dinei Loyola to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 32nd minute Rafael Moreira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dinei Loyola saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jano Travassos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Manoel Cabral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Osvaldinho Mazza in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Manoel Cabral prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Wesley Barros hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Iuarete AD's Nestor Rossi got a free kick in the 43rd minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rafael Moreira made a kick off. Rebojo's Manoel Cabral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Osvaldinho Mazza in the 72nd minute of play. After 74 minutes of play, Iuarete AD's Jano Travassos made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Manoel Cabral was left in no man's land by his defense there! Rebojo's Serafim de Queirós pulled a muscle in his leg after 80 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 80 minutes, Maicon Souto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Iuarete AD and the Rebojo players grew even worse after the yellow card. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Osvaldinho Mazza in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Manoel Cabral saved Rebojo from getting behind. Manoel Cabral was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. For all the effort they put into the match, the Rebojo players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Iuarete AD.
