Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Francisco Dionísio kicked off to start the match. After having played for 3 minutes, Edson Fernandez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bota Fogo RJ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edson Fernandez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Edson Fernandez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Francisco Dionísio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manolo Barbosa having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 11 minutes, Angelo Miranda took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Manolo Barbosa to make any attempt to save it. Manolo Barbosa was a little too slow when Francisco Dionísio got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 15th minute. The score was now 2-0. When Dedé Ferraz fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cedro's protests and gave Dedé Ferraz a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Cedro getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Dedé Ferraz hit a great ball. The supporters of Cedro booed when Bota Fogo RJ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sílvio Luís Cardozo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Manolo Barbosa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dorival Matos in the 20th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Túlio Goiano during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 24th minute, Túlio Goiano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 27th minute, Dorival Matos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Manolo Barbosa was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. 30 minutes into the match, Bota Fogo RJ's goal looked a bit too open when Francisco Dionísio came free, but Manolo Barbosa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dorival Matos struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Manolo Barbosa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cedro. Manolo Barbosa was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Dedé Ferraz showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 5-0 in the 38 minute of play. Rodolfo Arósio came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by Bota Fogo RJ's Edson Fernandez. But to his dismay, Edson Fernandez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edson Fernandez was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute Edson Fernandez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodolfo Arósio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Bota Fogo RJ booed when Cedro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristóvão Abraão didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edson Fernandez who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 57thth minute tested the skills of Rodolfo Arósio when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Cedro's goalkeeper Rodolfo Arósio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Bota Fogo RJ getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Edson Fernandez hit a great ball. Belmiro Fontes hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. In the 69th minute Dorival Matos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manolo Barbosa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bota Fogo RJ's Manolo Barbosa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francisco Dionísio in the 70th minute of play. The supporters of Bota Fogo RJ booed when Cedro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Angelo Miranda didn't get a good kick on the ball. 76 minutes into the match, Bota Fogo RJ's goal looked a bit too open when Dorival Matos came free, but Manolo Barbosa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dorival Matos in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Manolo Barbosa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bota Fogo RJ's Manolo Barbosa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dedé Ferraz in the 88th minute of play. Manolo Barbosa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Angelo Miranda in the 95th minute of the match. Manolo Barbosa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dorival Matos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Cedro had played much better football throughout.
