When Cristiano Arantes came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Praia Grande Sport Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristiano Arantes couldn't finish the play. Rafael Tasso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from André Faria in the 20th minute of the match. Mário Breckenfeld struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Pedro Luís Corrêa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Praia Grande Sport Club. Pedro Luís Corrêa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristiano Arantes, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. After having played for 29 minutes, Mário Breckenfeld managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Praia Grande Sport Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mário Breckenfeld was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristiano Arantes in the 30th minute of play forced Goldpirse FC's goalkeeper Pedro Luís Corrêa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 34th minute Cristiano Arantes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Luís Corrêa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tadeu Seco kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Mário Breckenfeld could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 48th minute of the match, but Pedro Luís Corrêa made a huge save.
