The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dito de Lara to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Remo Fantini hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ivo Barbosa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Edvaldo Travassos made a huge save. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 87 minutes into the game, Rodrigo Cearense recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Edvaldo Travassos. Rodrigo Cearense showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-5. The Andes players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
