Florida SC's Caco Neves couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 5th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Ganjamans Futebanza Clube. Gustavo Ferraz kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Sydney Valle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Luciano Baptista tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 13 minutes into the match, Ademar Munhoz notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Florida SC's Luciano Baptista. Luciano Baptista was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Hamílton de Brito made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Nelson Valladares sent off a good shot on target. When Elias Meireles fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ganjamans Futebanza Clube's protests and gave Elias Meireles a yellow card for diving instead. After 19 played minutes Ganjamans Futebanza Clube got a freekick which was hit by Elias Meireles. Luizinho de Carvalho struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Hamílton de Brito didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Florida SC. In the 22nd minute, Luizinho de Carvalho reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Hamílton de Brito. The goal made the score 1-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nelson Valladares got free with Hamílton de Brito in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Luizinho de Carvalho struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Hamílton de Brito didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Florida SC. 29 minutes into the game, Florida SC's Nelson Valladares nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hamílton de Brito made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Ademar Munhoz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. After having played for 47 minutes, Nelson Valladares managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Florida SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nelson Valladares was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Luizinho de Carvalho made a kick off. If Luizinho de Carvalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luizinho de Carvalho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luciano Baptista made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ademar Munhoz in the 57th minute of play. Ganjamans Futebanza Clube's Ademar Munhoz got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luciano Baptista showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sydney Valle in the 61st minute of the match. 62 minutes into the match, Florida SC's goalkeeper Luciano Baptista had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ademar Munhoz. Nelson Valladares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Nelson Valladares came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Florida SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nelson Valladares couldn't finish the play. Hamílton de Brito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luizinho de Carvalho in the 68th minute of play. Hamílton de Brito stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nelson Valladares's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. Hamílton de Brito took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luizinho de Carvalho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luizinho de Carvalho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Hamílton de Brito tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nelson Valladares in the 88th minute of play forced Ganjamans Futebanza Clube's goalkeeper Hamílton de Brito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Florida SC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
