Spectators: 6210 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1200, VIP seats: 10) An unexpectedly hard shot by Albertinho de Toledo in the 6th minute of play forced ILe Legua's goalkeeper Sydney de Souza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Adhemar Queirós's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benjamim Vaz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. After 11 played minutes Bananas got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Eduardo Donatello. Enio Lira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Benjamim Vaz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Enio Lira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Enio Lira received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Benjamim Vaz came out and tried to block the shot, but Enio Lira slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 18th minute. Enio Lira might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benjamim Vaz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Enio Lira ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 26th minute Percival Correia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sydney de Souza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Enio Lira blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benjamim Vaz having to make a save. Enio Lira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benjamim Vaz having to interfere. When Enio Lira came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the ILe Legua fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Enio Lira couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Bananas's zone, Enio Lira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benjamim Vaz came out of the goal and Enio Lira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bananas's goalkeeper Benjamim Vaz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Bananas's Benjamim Vaz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by André Pinho in the 39th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Percival Correia stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Kaká Dias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 56 minutes, Enio Lira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ILe Legua's supporters crossed their fingers, but Enio Lira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 68th minute Percival Correia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sydney de Souza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 71 minutes, Orlando da Fonseca mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bananas and the ILe Legua players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in ILe Legua's zone, Percival Correia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sydney de Souza came out of the goal and Percival Correia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of ILe Legua booed when Bananas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kaká Dias didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Amauri Pena fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ILe Legua's protests and gave Amauri Pena a yellow card for diving instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in ILe Legua fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 78th minute. Penalty! Sydney de Souza went to the wrong direction when Rafael Rossi was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. After 82 played minutes ILe Legua got a freekick which was hit by Rafinha Souza. A collision led to ILe Legua getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Rafinha Souza hit a great ball. In the 86th minute, Alfredo Soeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 93 minutes, Enio Lira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ILe Legua's supporters crossed their fingers, but Enio Lira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bananas's Benjamim Vaz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jaime Vasconcelos in the 100th minute of play. ILe Legua's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
