In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tulu FC's goalkeeper Benjamim Favoretto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Benjamim Favoretto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maicon Amorim, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. 43 minutes had been played when some careless play by Tulu FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Dino Botelho was slow to take the kick. During this time Urutu FC's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Dino Botelho got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Benjamim Favoretto quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Benjamim Favoretto was a little too slow when Carlos Alberto Hermes got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 46th minute. The score was now 2-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Clóvis de Senna to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Ricardo Norino made a precise shot to the right of Ismael Sanches. Urutu FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. The crowd rose to their feet as Tulu FC's Igor Maciel slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ismael Sanches. That made the score 3-3 after 76 minutes of play. Tulu FC's Benjamim Favoretto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aílton Guimarães in the 79th minute of play. When Carlos Alberto Hermes came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Urutu FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlos Alberto Hermes couldn't finish the play. If Maicon Amorim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 93 minutes into the match, Tulu FC's goal looked a bit too open when Aílton Guimarães came free, but Benjamim Favoretto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Carlos Alberto Hermes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benjamim Favoretto having to interfere.
