The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 7 minutes into the match, UNIVERSAL's Antônio Saraiva sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Zé Pedro Tinoco narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Victor Galopoulos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Pedro Mota in the 8th minute of the match. UNIVERSAL's Victor Galopoulos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hamílton de Sousa in the 13th minute of play. Victor Galopoulos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Fernando do Nascimento, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafa Melo in the 15th minute of play forced UNIVERSAL's goalkeeper Victor Galopoulos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Victor Galopoulos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Fernando do Nascimento in the 18th minute of play. Victor Galopoulos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rafa Melo in the 19th minute of the match. UNIVERSAL's Victor Galopoulos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Pedro Mota in the 21st minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Salam Al Homaithe during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 23 played minutes UNIVERSAL got a freekick which was hit by Salam Al Homaithe. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carlos Fernando do Nascimento in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Victor Galopoulos saved UNIVERSAL from getting behind. The crowd rose to their feet as Antônio Saraiva kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Zé Pedro Tinoco. That made the score 1-0 in the 31 minute of play. When the match had gone on for 34 minutes, Carlos Fernando do Nascimento put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Victor Galopoulos. Zé Pedro Tinoco was a little too slow when Antônio Saraiva got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 38th minute. The score was now 2-1. Zé Pedro Tinoco made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Salam Al Homaithe sent off a good shot on target. In the 45th minute João Pedro Mota shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victor Galopoulos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. João Pedro Mota scored 2-2 in the 47th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Victor Galopoulos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rafa Melo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 53 minutes of play, UNIVERSAL's Salam Al Homaithe made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Zé Pedro Tinoco was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 57th minute of the match, Rafa Melo tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Victor Galopoulos saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. If Antônio Saraiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 62nd minute, Carlos Fernando do Nascimento made a precise shot to the right of Victor Galopoulos. UNIVERSAL's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Pedro Mota in the 65th minute of play forced UNIVERSAL's goalkeeper Victor Galopoulos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Salam Al Homaithe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Fernando Matorin got a throw-in 74 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Washington Medeiros. After a defensive mix-up in Pertile's zone, Salam Al Homaithe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zé Pedro Tinoco came out of the goal and Salam Al Homaithe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Toninho Melo came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the UNIVERSAL fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Toninho Melo couldn't finish the play. Fernandinho Dante's late challenge caught a UNIVERSAL's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fernandinho Dante helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Pertile's Fernandinho Dante got a free kick in the 86th minute. Victor Galopoulos was a little too slow when Carlos Fernando do Nascimento got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 94th minute. The score was now 4-4. In the 97th minute, Hamílton de Sousa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
