Spectators: 6600 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 100) Haroldo Meirelles started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. The supporters of C.A. River Plate booed when Alegres was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amauri Teixeira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sandro Alves got a throw-in 9 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Luizão Dias. In the last second Téo Mota throw himself and got hold of the ball when Bernardinho Dantas in the 14thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Arnaldo Fontes struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Téo Mota didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alegres. Amauri Teixeira charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Amauri Teixeira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Amauri Teixeira kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. In the 25th minute, Haroldo Meirelles got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 27 minutes into the match, C.A. River Plate's goal looked a bit too open when Bernardinho Dantas came free, but Téo Mota reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Alegres's Amauri Teixeira got a free kick in the 29th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Haroldo Meirelles in the 34th minute of play forced Alegres's goalkeeper Guilherme Valladares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alegres's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Haroldo Meirelles was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bernardinho Dantas made a kick off. In the 54th minute, José Pedro Motta ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Téo Mota was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. A collision led to Alegres getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Geraldo Magalhães hit a great ball. Haroldo Meirelles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Guilherme Valladares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Haroldo Meirelles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guilherme Valladares having to interfere. Téo Mota came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by Alegres's Bernardinho Dantas. But to his dismay, Bernardinho Dantas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. Téo Mota showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Pedro Motta in the 83rd minute of the match. José Pedro Motta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 87 minutes into the match, José Pedro Motta notched a goal, 5-1, to the right of C.A. River Plate's Téo Mota. Téo Mota was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Alegres were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of C.A. River Plate for a fine match.
