The goalkeeper, Aírton Paes, was totally fooled by Nupeba's Oséias Rodrigues, who 6 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. If Maurício Dante had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Luís Paranaense might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Arnaldo Recife. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luís Paranaense ran back to his position shaking his head. Maurício Dante sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With his leg Aírton Paes managed to avoid a goal in the 15thth minute, when Nupeba's Gernando Garcia fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Bruno Torres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 23 minutes into the match, Estulania SS's goalkeeper Aírton Paes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bruno Torres. 26 minutes into the match, Estulania SS's goal looked a bit too open when Gernando Garcia came free, but Aírton Paes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Nupeba booed when Estulania SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Almir Brasil didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Gernando Garcia's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aírton Paes was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gernando Garcia in the 32nd minute of play forced Estulania SS's goalkeeper Aírton Paes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gernando Garcia was extremely unlucky when he, in the 41st minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Gernando Garcia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Estulania SS's zone, Gernando Garcia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aírton Paes came out of the goal and Gernando Garcia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 45 played minutes Estulania SS got a freekick which was hit by Almir Brasil. Gernando Garcia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Aírton Paes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

In the 51st minute Luís Paranaense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnaldo Recife saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Luís Paranaense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Maurício Dante made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 62ndth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Arnaldo Recife would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. A collision led to Nupeba getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Tomás Borges hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bruno Torres in the 65th minute of play forced Estulania SS's goalkeeper Aírton Paes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 68 minutes into the match, Estulania SS's goal looked a bit too open when Gernando Garcia came free, but Aírton Paes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Gernando Garcia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aírton Paes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gernando Garcia, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. In the 89th minute, Gernando Garcia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luís Paranaense succeeded in the game's 97th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-1. Nupeba were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
