Wilton Cardozo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Naldo Arruda in the 3rd minute of the match. When FujaLoko's Naldo Arruda in the 9th minute got a chance for a shot 9th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Clube de Regatas Flamengo's goalie prevented a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Clube de Regatas Flamengo's zone, Valdo Tande stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wilton Cardozo came out of the goal and Valdo Tande tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 16th minute, Tales Peres got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Glauco Medeiros was extremely unlucky when he, in the 18th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 20th minute of the match Vladimir Recife sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Guto de Azevedo skillfully saved the ball. In the 22nd minute Glauco Medeiros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guto de Azevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Clóvis Leme took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wilton Cardozo. Wilton Cardozo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. If Valdo Tande had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 30 minutes into the match, Clube de Regatas Flamengo's goal looked a bit too open when Naldo Arruda came free, but Wilton Cardozo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. FujaLoko's Guto de Azevedo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save FujaLoko from getting a goal against them. Guto de Azevedo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tales Peres in the 36th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Glauco Medeiros in the 37th minute of play forced FujaLoko's goalkeeper Guto de Azevedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 44 minutes into the game, Glauco Medeiros recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Guto de Azevedo. Glauco Medeiros showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Naldo Arruda made a kick off. In the 53rd minute Naldo Arruda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilton Cardozo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 55 played minutes Clube de Regatas Flamengo got a freekick which was hit by Vladimir Recife. Valdo Tande struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Wilton Cardozo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FujaLoko. Clube de Regatas Flamengo's Wilton Cardozo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Naldo Arruda in the 57th minute of play. 58 minutes into the game, Tostão Hermes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Clube de Regatas Flamengo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FujaLoko the free kick. In the 58th match minute, Clube de Regatas Flamengo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tostão Hermes to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Tales Peres managed to get in a good position for a shot. Clube de Regatas Flamengo's supporters rose to their feet, but Tales Peres was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Guto de Azevedo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 63 played minutes Clube de Regatas Flamengo got a freekick which was hit by Ian Fernandes. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Naldo Arruda in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wilton Cardozo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Clóvis Leme during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Clóvis Leme kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Ademar Guimarães's late challenge caught a FujaLoko's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ademar Guimarães helped the player get up and apologised. In the 71st minute, Ademar Guimarães hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With an all-out effort, FujaLoko's Wilton Cardozo threw himself towards the right post 74 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Naldo Arruda, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Clóvis Leme hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Aírton Ramalho kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Clube de Regatas Flamengo's Glauco Medeiros got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 86 minutes, Valdo Tande managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FujaLoko's supporters crossed their fingers, but Valdo Tande was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Wilton Cardozo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Naldo Arruda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Naldo Arruda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilton Cardozo having to interfere. Glauco Medeiros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Guto de Azevedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
