The wind increased when Joaquim Sá made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Rio de Janeiro EC's zone, Dagoberto Ferraz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Beto Novaes came out of the goal and Dagoberto Ferraz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Beto Novaes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dagoberto Ferraz, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Joaquim Sá could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Toninho das Neves made a huge save. Joaquim Sá could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Toninho das Neves made a huge save. Enéas Ramos's late challenge caught a Galáticos FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Enéas Ramos helped the player get up and apologised. In the 81st match minute, Rio de Janeiro EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Enéas Ramos to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 82 minutes, Dagoberto Ferraz put it in 3-2 from a short distance just to the right of Beto Novaes.
