With an extended leg and a bit of luck Artur Paranaense prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 73rd match minute, A.C.Paulistano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jânio Paulista to maneuver through the defense. Elmārs Bevalds did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-10 to the left of a surprised Artur Paranaense 76 minutes into the match. In the 81st minute, Hunters FC's Didi Quirino seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Didi Quirino the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Hunters FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Didi Quirino had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. If Elmārs Bevalds had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
