Pedro Vergílio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudinho Maia in the 2nd minute of the match. Angelim SC's Claudinho Maia got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Bandeirante's zone, Claudinho Maia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Vergílio came out of the goal and Claudinho Maia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Claudinho Maia in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pedro Vergílio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 23 played minutes Angelim SC got a freekick which was hit by Mauro Arce. Rogério Favoretto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Ernani Lima tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 26th minute, Cássio Brito hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. José Maria Antunes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Angelim SC's Claudinho Maia got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bandeirante's Pedro Vergílio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Bandeirante from getting a goal against them. Adriano Linares struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Ernani Lima didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bandeirante. Zé Carlos Pires fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Vergílio having to interfere. In the 46th of the match, Claudinho Maia tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Pedro Vergílio got in the way and made a wonderful save. In the 47th minute, Bandeirante's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Zé Carlos Pires fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Claudinho Maia made a kick off. Zé Carlos Pires sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Durval Madureira was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 69th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Pedro Vergílio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zé Carlos Pires in the 72nd minute of the match. If Claudinho Maia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Claudinho Maia might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pedro Vergílio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Claudinho Maia ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Angelim SC booed when Bandeirante was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rogério Favoretto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pedro Vergílio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zé Carlos Pires in the 79th minute of the match. 82 minutes into the match, Angelim SC's goalkeeper Ernani Lima had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Adriano Linares. José Maria Antunes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernani Lima having to interfere. In the 94th minute, one of Bandeirante:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Bandeirante. The referee gave Angelim SC a penalty, 96 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Durval Madureira, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Bandeirante's Pedro Vergílio. 1-0. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Angelim SC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Bandeirante had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
