In the 7th minute, Beto Almeida got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 8th match minute, Diciplina fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edmundo de Castro to maneuver through the defense. Reynaldo Arce showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juvenal Dracena, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. After having played for 12 minutes, Juvenal Dracena managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Força Alagoana's supporters crossed their fingers, but Juvenal Dracena was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Beto Almeida managed to get in a good position for a shot. Força Alagoana's supporters rose to their feet, but Beto Almeida was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Reynaldo Arce breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 23 minutes, Juvenal Dracena managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Força Alagoana's supporters crossed their fingers, but Juvenal Dracena was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Reynaldo Arce made an important save on a dangerous shot by Beto Almeida in the 26th minute. After a rather tough play, Diciplina fc's José Vítor Teixeira got a free kick in the 26th minute. Juvenal Dracena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Reynaldo Arce tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Juvenal Dracena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 35th minute, Serafin Porfirio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 36th minute of the match Edmundo de Castro shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Belchior Mandrak showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Caco Camargo hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. If Juvenal Dracena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Belchior Mandrak came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by Diciplina fc's José Vítor Teixeira. But to his dismay, José Vítor Teixeira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Juvenal Dracena to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Horácio Vaz in the 52nd minute of play forced Força Alagoana's goalkeeper Belchior Mandrak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juvenal Dracena in the 55th minute of play forced Diciplina fc's goalkeeper Reynaldo Arce to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Belchior Mandrak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Vítor Teixeira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Diciplina fc booed when Força Alagoana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robinho Berger didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Diciplina fc's zone, Beto Almeida stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Reynaldo Arce came out of the goal and Beto Almeida tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Força Alagoana's Juvenal Dracena got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Força Alagoana's defense didn't have a chance, in the 76th minute, when José Vítor Teixeira scored to the left of an out of position Belchior Mandrak, making the score, 0-3. Alex Sá received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Belchior Mandrak tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Horácio Vaz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Diciplina fc players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
