The crowd rose to their feet as Ademir Meireles kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving José Vítor Bastos. That made the score 3-1 in the 40 minute of play. If Alexsandro Marques had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ademir Meireles struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. José Vítor Bastos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CAJV. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ademir Meireles stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Zézinho Cearense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 80thth minute of the game Ademir Meireles who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Uriporanga SC's José Vítor Bastos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Celsinho Quintal struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. José Vítor Bastos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CAJV. CAJV's Inácio Catarinense was substituted for Angelo Peixoto. Ademir Meireles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. José Vítor Bastos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Celsinho Quintal, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. In the 86th minute, Inácio Catarinense got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ademir Meireles in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg José Vítor Bastos saved Uriporanga SC from getting behind. Inácio Catarinense recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. CAJV walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
