With a little luck, Ameliopolis's Giovanni Reis got control of the ball when Linus Lybæk tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ameliopolis's Giovanni Reis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anísio Pernambucano in the 7th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Cido Lucas kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Giovanni Reis. That made the score 1-0 in the 8 minute of play. Alexsandro Vaz charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alexsandro Vaz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cido Lucas in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Giovanni Reis saved Ameliopolis from getting behind. Giovanni Reis was a little too slow when Anísio Pernambucano got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 22nd minute. The score was now 2-1. When Alexsandro Vaz was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 27 minutes had been played. Alexsandro Vaz hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. When Os Galaticos F.C's Linus Lybæk in the 31st minute got a chance for a shot 31st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ameliopolis's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Fábio Lara in the 32nd minute of play forced Ameliopolis's goalkeeper Giovanni Reis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Linus Lybæk could shoot a difficult shot in the 34th minute, which Giovanni Reis however easily saved by the left post. 38 minutes into the game, Cido Lucas recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Giovanni Reis. Cido Lucas showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-1. Giovanni Reis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fiori de Medeiros in the 42nd minute. 43 minutes into the match, Linus Lybæk dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Giovanni Reis, 4-1. In the 47thth minute of the game Osmar Rezende who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Os Galaticos F.C's Donato Figueiredo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Linus Lybæk to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Ameliopolis's goal looked a bit too open when Cido Lucas came free, but Giovanni Reis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Ameliopolis getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Dráusio Marques hit a great ball. Ameliopolis's Giovanni Reis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Linus Lybæk in the 56th minute of play. 58 minutes into the game, Linus Lybæk cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-1. Giovanni Reis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Os Galaticos F.C made a substitution. Hermínio Nunes replaced Cido Lucas. After 64 minutes, João Francisco de Azevedo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ameliopolis and the Os Galaticos F.C players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Os Galaticos F.C booed when Ameliopolis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Francisco de Azevedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Osmar Rezende sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Donato Figueiredo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dráusio Marques, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Linus Lybæk in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Giovanni Reis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Giovanni Reis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Linus Lybæk, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. After some careless play in the Ameliopolis defense, Linus Lybæk kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Giovanni Reis. The Ameliopolis fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Giovanni Reis should have stopped the shot. After 85 played minutes Ameliopolis got a freekick which was hit by Paulo Renato Rocha. João Francisco de Azevedo kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. Os Galaticos F.C's Enio do Valle was substituted for Anísio Pernambucano. Hermínio Nunes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giovanni Reis having to interfere. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Os Galaticos F.C had played much better football throughout.
