Oséias Santana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fred Pirani, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 21st minute Adriano de Mendonça shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Faustão da Mata saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Joao Fc's Adriano de Mendonça in the 21st minute got a chance for a shot 21st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fabiano Recife to strike the kick off in the second half. Faustão da Mata made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adriano de Mendonça in the 51st minute of play. The supporters of Torrinha booed when Joao Fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Michel Camargo didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Torrinha's Fabiano Recife slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Oséias Santana. That made the score 1-2 after 77 minutes of play. Oséias Santana didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Torrinha's Fabiano Recife shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-3 in the ordered_time% minute.
