Nelson Cardoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elliott Olofsson in the 8th minute of the match. Tibúrcio de Almeida's late challenge caught a Icaturama SS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tibúrcio de Almeida helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Icaturama SS booed when Silva was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tibúrcio de Almeida didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 12th minute Elliott Olofsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nelson Cardoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nelson Cardoso came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by Icaturama SS's Elliott Olofsson. But to his dismay, Elliott Olofsson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. A collision led to Icaturama SS getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Pedrão de Castro hit a great ball. In the 24th minute, Elliott Olofsson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Icaturama SS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Yuri Galvão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silvério de Castro in the 28th minute of play. Edu de Alcântara kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Silvério de Castro's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 30thth minute, Yuri Galvão skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 33rd match minute, Icaturama SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedrão de Castro to maneuver through the defense. When João Vítor Gomes came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Silva fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that João Vítor Gomes couldn't finish the play. After 37 minutes, Luiz Fábio de Carvalho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Icaturama SS and the Silva players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 37th minute, Luiz Fábio de Carvalho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Manoel de Andrade charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Manoel de Andrade the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 42nd minute of the game. One of Icaturama SS:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Silva:s goal. The goalkeeper, Yuri Galvão, was totally fooled by Silva's João Pedro Tasso, who 44 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Silvério de Castro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

53 minutes into the match, Icaturama SS's goal looked a bit too open when Silvério de Castro came free, but Yuri Galvão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 55thth minute of the game Silvério de Castro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Icaturama SS's Yuri Galvão was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match had gone on for 57 minutes, Silvério de Castro put it in 2-2 from a short distance just to the right of Yuri Galvão. In the 62nd play minute Albertinho Montenegro came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Nelson Cardoso. 2-3. 66 minutes into the game, Silvério de Castro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-3. Yuri Galvão was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Icaturama SS's Elliott Olofsson got a free kick in the 75th minute. 80 minutes into the game, one of Silva:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 82nd minute there was a penalty for Icaturama SS. Pedrão de Castro stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Nelson Cardoso. 3-4. Yuri Galvão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silvério de Castro in the 91st minute of play. Nelson Cardoso didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 96th minute, which inside left pole to 3-5. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Icaturama SS had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
