The supporters of Chora EC booed when Matozinhos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fernandão Ferraz didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Matozinhos fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Jeremias Braga made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Lúcio Prata sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Erik Leme managed to get in a good position for a shot. Matozinhos's supporters rose to their feet, but Erik Leme was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Richard Ribeiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Erik Leme's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Richard Ribeiro was relentless in the 46th minute of the game. Cléber Galvão blasted a shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Richard Ribeiro having to make a save. Erik Leme sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Cléber Galvão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
