Beast Fire's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ypiranga the free kick. After a rather tough play, Beast Fire's Ronaldo Marques got a free kick in the 14th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Denílson de Godoy got free with Aírton Teles in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Valdomiro Prestes during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Ypiranga booed when Beast Fire was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valdomiro Prestes didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Beast Fire's zone, Erik Barbosa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aírton Teles came out of the goal and Erik Barbosa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Denílson de Godoy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 24th match minute, Ypiranga was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sebastião Mendes to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aírton Aguiar in the 27th minute of play forced Ypiranga's goalkeeper Egídio Reis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 29 minutes into the match, Denílson de Godoy had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Aírton Teles. Beast Fire's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Denílson de Godoy was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Jerônimo Moreno managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ypiranga's supporters rose to their feet, but Jerônimo Moreno was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aírton Teles breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Beast Fire's Aírton Teles got control of the ball when Denílson de Godoy tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonathan Salgado in the 46th minute of play forced Beast Fire's goalkeeper Aírton Teles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Beast Fire's Aírton Teles proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Beast Fire from getting a goal against them. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Denílson de Godoy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Beast Fire's zone, Geovani Tande stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aírton Teles came out of the goal and Geovani Tande tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jerônimo Moreno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aírton Teles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Denílson de Godoy in the 84th minute of play. In the 86th minute Geovani Tande shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aírton Teles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Geovani Tande sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jonathan Salgado kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Beast Fire's Marcinho da Costa got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
