With a couple of smart ball manuevers Adrianinho de Moraes in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aílton Paraibano saved Estrelato F.C. from getting behind. In the 23rdth minute of the game Antonio Bennett who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cocos's Paulo Berger was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antonio Bennett in the 25th minute of play forced Cocos's goalkeeper Paulo Berger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Cocos's Danilo Alvarenga got a free kick in the 25th minute. Vânderson Mattos's late challenge caught a Cocos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The audience was convinced that Antonio Bennett's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Paulo Berger was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. Carlos Eduardo Pires's late challenge caught a Estrelato F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Antonio Bennett made a kick off. After having played for 57 minutes, Vinícius Gomes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Estrelato F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Vinícius Gomes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Antonio Bennett got free with Paulo Berger in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match was over Estrelato F.C. could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Cocos throughout the match.
