In the 15th minute, Laércio de Sena got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Régis Furtado in the 23rd minute of play forced Atlético Clube Goianiense's goalkeeper Edgar Soares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edu Godoi kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. After 27 played minutes Soccer Master.FC got a freekick which was hit by Laércio de Sena. A hard shot by Frédson Soeiro from long distance, 28 minutes into the match, got Matheus Carvalho's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. When Soccer Master.FC's Régis Furtado in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The referee ignored Soccer Master.FC's protests and gave Laércio de Sena a yellow card for diving instead. In the 33rd minute, Laércio de Sena hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Maicon Vander came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Atlético Clube Goianiense fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maicon Vander couldn't finish the play. Matheus Carvalho acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 38th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Frédson Soeiro. After a rather tough play, Soccer Master.FC's Laércio de Sena got a free kick in the 38th minute. Ruy Varela received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Edgar Soares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edgar Soares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Régis Furtado in the 46th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Ruy Varela managed to get in a good position for a shot. Soccer Master.FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ruy Varela was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edgar Soares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Filipe Montenegro made a kick off. Ruy Varela who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 52ndth minute tested the skills of Edgar Soares when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 56 played minutes Atlético Clube Goianiense got a freekick which was hit by Frank Linhares. Edgar Soares was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Agostinho Ortiz. Edgar Soares made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ruy Varela in the 59th minute. The supporters of Soccer Master.FC booed when Atlético Clube Goianiense was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claudinei Tróia didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Régis Furtado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Matheus Carvalho came out of the goal and Filipe Montenegro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Régis Furtado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Edgar Soares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 81st minute, Soccer Master.FC's Régis Furtado dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. With his leg Edgar Soares managed to avoid a goal in the 85thth minute, when Soccer Master.FC's Ruy Varela fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Ruy Varela had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Soccer Master.FC's Régis Furtado got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Soccer Master.FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
