Umberto Arósio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Severino Souza in the 6th minute of play. With his leg Umberto Arósio managed to avoid a goal in the 7thth minute, when Dig F.C's Hugo Antunes fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 9 minutes of play, Dig F.C's Hugo Antunes made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Umberto Arósio was left in no man's land by his defense there! 13 minutes into the match, Players's goalkeeper Umberto Arósio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hugo Antunes. Severino Souza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Dig F.C's Severino Souza slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Umberto Arósio. That made the score 2-0 after 20 minutes of play. Dig F.C's Hugo Antunes got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Umberto Arósio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hugo Antunes in the 27th minute. Hugo Antunes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Umberto Arósio made a huge save. Severino Souza might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Umberto Arósio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Severino Souza ran back to his position shaking his head. After some careless play in the Players defense, Hugo Antunes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Umberto Arósio. The Players fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Umberto Arósio should have stopped the shot. Severino Souza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Umberto Arósio having to interfere. 43 minutes into the match, Players's goalkeeper Umberto Arósio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hugo Antunes. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adriano Pirani in the 45th minute of play forced Dig F.C's goalkeeper Amadeu Saraiva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Severino Souza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

In the 53rd minute, Jailson Paranaense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Dig F.C booed when Players was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abel Furtado didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 57 minutes, Hugo Antunes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Dig F.C and the Players players grew even worse after the yellow card. Hugo Antunes hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Umberto Arósio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hugo Antunes's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. Umberto Arósio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Severino Souza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 69 minutes of play, Dig F.C's Severino Souza made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Umberto Arósio was left in no man's land by his defense there! 72 minutes into the game, Hugo Antunes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Umberto Arósio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Jorge de Almeida managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dig F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Jorge de Almeida was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Umberto Arósio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dig F.C's Amadeu Saraiva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luan Capixaba in the 77th minute of play. Umberto Arósio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hugo Antunes in the 79th minute of play. Umberto Arósio came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by Dig F.C's Hugo Antunes. But to his dismay, Hugo Antunes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. If Hugo Antunes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adriano Pirani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Remo Vidal kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Players's goalkeeper Umberto Arósio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Umberto Arósio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hugo Antunes, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Dig F.C's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
