But to his dismay, Fiori Velasco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Hortêncio Seco hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. A collision led to Cego getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Fellipe Gomes hit a great ball. If Emanuel Pitta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Cego booed when Stella Alba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aloísio Pirani didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aníbal Tavares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fellipe Maia, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Aloísio Pirani received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Donato Albuquerque tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aníbal Tavares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fellipe Gomes in the 42nd minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fellipe Maia to make the kick off. Fellipe Gomes might have been able to make a better finish in the 51st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aníbal Tavares. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fellipe Gomes ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 55th minute, Zé Paulo Tavares got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 56 minutes into the match, Cego's goal looked a bit too open when Aloísio Pirani came free, but Donato Albuquerque reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Donato Albuquerque didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Stella Alba's Aloísio Pirani shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 2-1 in the ordered_time% minute. Fellipe Maia kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. If Aloísio Pirani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aloísio Pirani recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fellipe Gomes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fellipe Maia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Aloísio Pirani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Stella Alba's Aníbal Tavares proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save Stella Alba from getting a goal against them. If Emanuel Pitta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Aloísio Pirani managed to get in a good position for a shot. Stella Alba's supporters rose to their feet, but Aloísio Pirani was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Donato Albuquerque breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 90 played minutes Cego got a freekick which was hit by Manoel Azevedo. The audience was convinced that Aloísio Pirani's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Donato Albuquerque was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game.
