Geovânio Matorin made a fantastic save in the 2nd minute, when Felippe Seco sent off a good shot on target. Oitis SS's Fabinho de Moraes got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Franklin Pombal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Cícero Tinoco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Baltazar Andrade received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Geovânio Matorin came out and tried to block the shot, but Baltazar Andrade slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 23rd minute. Fabinho de Moraes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cícero Tinoco read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. In the 34th minute, Felippe Seco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Geovânio Matorin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baltazar Andrade, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Rômulo Moura sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a little luck, Oitis SS's Geovânio Matorin got control of the ball when Felippe Seco tried to sneak it across the goal line. Felippe Seco in the 46thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Geovânio Matorin, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Felippe Seco in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Geovânio Matorin saved Oitis SS from getting behind. Portinha's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Oitis SS the free kick. A collision led to Portinha getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Rômulo Moura hit a great ball. In the 64th minute, Felippe Seco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Cláudio Batista fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Oitis SS's protests and gave Cláudio Batista a yellow card for diving instead. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Portinha fully deserved thier win.
