The audience was convinced that Róbson Campidelis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Artur de Senna was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. Róbson Campidelis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Claudinei Bastos charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Róbson Campidelis in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Artur de Senna prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Róbson Campidelis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Artur de Senna stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Róbson Campidelis's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. If Cássio Garcia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 84 minutes into the match, Valparaiba's Juvenal Nóbrega sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Artur de Senna narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Róbson Campidelis might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Artur de Senna. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Valparaiba played a much better game than XV de Outubro and deserved their victory. The XV de Outubro players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
