Chicão de Azevedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Fábio Gaúcho having to interfere. If Henrique Cerezo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Patis SC's zone, Daniel Medeiros stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fabiano Barral came out of the goal and Daniel Medeiros tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Isaltino Sampaio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luiz Fábio Gaúcho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chicão de Azevedo in the 16th minute of the match. After having played for 18 minutes, Chicão de Azevedo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Patis SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Chicão de Azevedo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Patis SC's Fabiano Barral proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Patis SC from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Patis SC's Fabiano Barral got control of the ball when Isaltino Sampaio tried to sneak it across the goal line. Isaltino Sampaio kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. If Henrique Cerezo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Patis SC's Fabiano Barral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Medeiros in the 37th minute of play. The wind increased when Henrique Cerezo made the kick off in the second half. Daniel Medeiros charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Daniel Medeiros the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 57th match minute, Barroso was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Medeiros to maneuver through the defense. In the 78th minute, Chicão de Azevedo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Patis SC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Fabiano Barral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isaltino Sampaio in the 82nd minute of play. The supporters of Barroso booed when Patis SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sandrinho Cerezo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hamílton Rodrigues's late challenge caught a Barroso's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hamílton Rodrigues helped the player get up and apologised. After 92 played minutes Patis SC got a freekick which was hit by Hamílton Rodrigues. When the match clock showed 97 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Daniel Medeiros sped through Patis SC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Fabiano Barral. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Patis SC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
