In the 18th match minute, Ervalzinho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Natã Ortiz to maneuver through the defense. Washington de Barros struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Fabrício Abraão didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Grimeia AD. Grimeia AD's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. But to his dismay, Durval Carneiro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. When the match had gone on for 63 minutes, Washington de Barros put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Fabrício Abraão. In the 67th minute of the match Grimeia AD got a corner. Ervalzinho's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Durval Carneiro ran over to the corner to take the kick. Samuel Amaral made a great header on Grimeia AD's corner, it was just that Ervalzinho's Fabrício Abraão managed to reach the ball for a save. After a rather tough play, Grimeia AD's Germano Couto got a free kick in the 69th minute. With a little luck, Grimeia AD's Perivaldo Pires got control of the ball when Túlio Melo tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 73 minutes, Durval Carneiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Grimeia AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Durval Carneiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The coaching staff of Grimeia AD protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Luiz Guilherme Coutinho had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Ervalzinho's supporters rose to their feet, but Delfim Gerber was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Perivaldo Pires breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Grimeia AD's Washington de Barros got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Túlio Melo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
