After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Belmiro Guimarães managed to get in a good position for a shot. Renegados FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Belmiro Guimarães was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Patrício Souto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Belmiro Guimarães received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Belmiro Guimarães in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. Patrício Souto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Belmiro Guimarães in the 33rd minute of play. Edmílson Saraiva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patrício Souto having to interfere. Edmílson Saraiva scored 0-1 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Patrício Souto, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Patrício Souto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Régis Paiva in the 42nd minute of play. If Belmiro Guimarães had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Belmiro Guimarães to strike the kick off in the second half. After 51 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Só o Fubá SC! The goalkeeper, Patrício Souto, was totally fooled by Renegados FC's Erivaldo Moura, who 52 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Patrício Souto was a little too slow when Belmiro Guimarães got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 58th minute. The score was now 0-3. Patrício Souto made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Edmílson Saraiva sent off a good shot on target. Patrício Souto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Belmiro Guimarães, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Belmiro Guimarães's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Patrício Souto was relentless in the 65th minute of the game. If Edmílson Saraiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Belmiro Guimarães struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Patrício Souto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Renegados FC. Belmiro Guimarães fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patrício Souto having to interfere. With a little luck, Só o Fubá SC's Patrício Souto got control of the ball when Edmílson Saraiva tried to sneak it across the goal line. Renegados FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Erivaldo Moura in the 98th minute. Renegados FC played a much better game than Só o Fubá SC and deserved their victory. The Só o Fubá SC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
