The Clube Atletico Indaiatuba fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Júlio Sena should have stopped the shot. Boca Juniors's Délio Simões got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Júlio Sena showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Délio Simões, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. In the 25th minute, Gildo de Lara got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 27th minute, Ernesto Gorosti made a precise shot to the right of Júlio Sena. Clube Atletico Indaiatuba's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Fabiano de Godoy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Júlio Sena having to interfere. Júlio Sena was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-3. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Emenon Polanco to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Váldson Linares managed to get in a good position for a shot. Boca Juniors's supporters rose to their feet, but Váldson Linares was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Júlio Sena breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 54th minute Fabiano de Godoy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Júlio Sena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Júlio Sena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabiano de Godoy in the 58th minute of the match. Váldson Linares charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Váldson Linares the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Clube Atletico Indaiatuba's Júlio Sena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Váldson Linares in the 61st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emenon Polanco in the 65th minute of play forced Boca Juniors's goalkeeper Dedê Matos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 67 minutes of play, Clube Atletico Indaiatuba's Emenon Polanco made it 4-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dedê Matos was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the match had gone on for 71 minutes, Fabiano de Godoy took a quick shot and it went in 4-4 without a chance for Júlio Sena to make any attempt to save it. Délio Simões kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Clube Atletico Indaiatuba's Júlio Sena proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Clube Atletico Indaiatuba from getting a goal against them. Júlio Sena made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when João Bittencourt sent off a good shot on target. Josef Mehnert took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 80th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Dedê Matos. Boca Juniors's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Dedê Matos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emenon Polanco, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. A collision led to Boca Juniors getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Jan-Joost De Coninck hit a great ball. In the 85th minute, Boca Juniors's Délio Simões ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Júlio Sena. Júlio Sena yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-5. Fabiano de Godoy struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Júlio Sena didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Boca Juniors. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bernardo Tasso during the 91st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 91 played minutes Clube Atletico Indaiatuba got a freekick which was hit by Bernardo Tasso. When the match clock showed 94 minutes, the score became 4-6 when João Bittencourt sped through Clube Atletico Indaiatuba's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Júlio Sena. When the final whistle sounded Boca Juniors left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Clube Atletico Indaiatuba.
