Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Silver Galaxy FC's Luiz Fabiano Rezende started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Simão Gonçalves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cacá Sena in the 5th minute of the match. If Cacá Sena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 12 played minutes Silver Galaxy FC got a freekick which was hit by Betão Viana. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nilmar Terra during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Cristiano Carioca kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Simão Gonçalves acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 18th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Waldemar Pires. Simão Gonçalves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giovani Soares in the 19th minute of play. Cacá Sena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Fattiada's supporters rose to their feet, but Nilmar Terra was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Simão Gonçalves breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nilmar Terra recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Cacá Sena came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Fattiada fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cacá Sena couldn't finish the play. Betão Viana hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Fattiada's Cacá Sena in the 44th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Simão Gonçalves was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Silver Galaxy FC through an amazing save. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cacá Sena was the one to do the kick off. Fattiada's Cacá Sena got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 59 minutes, Cacá Sena managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fattiada's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cacá Sena was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cacá Sena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nilmar Terra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Simão Gonçalves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 76 played minutes, Fattiada's Percival Perez shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Simão Gonçalves came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Fattiada reached it. After some careless play in the Silver Galaxy FC defense, Cacá Sena kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Simão Gonçalves. The Silver Galaxy FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Simão Gonçalves should have stopped the shot. In the 83rd minute, Cacá Sena left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Fattiada fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Nilmar Terra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Simão Gonçalves having to interfere.
