After 12 played minutes Dedé Teles could catch the ball where he stood relatively free a bit outside the goal and without hesitation he completed 1-1 into the left cross. Bruninho da Fonseca charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bruninho da Fonseca the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Bruninho da Fonseca hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Cido Schmidt took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 20th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Delfim Trancoso. Capivara SC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Dedé Teles kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving José Vítor Barral. That made the score 2-1 in the 22 minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Luís Paulo dos Santos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guarantan FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Luís Paulo dos Santos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Delfim Trancoso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 30th match minute, Guarantan FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eugênio Tinoco to maneuver through the defense. Delfim Trancoso made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. In the 40th minute, Kléber Pinheiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Guarantan FC's zone, Douglas Queiroz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. José Vítor Barral came out of the goal and Douglas Queiroz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Dedé Teles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 48 minutes of play, Capivara SC's Nelsinho Pombal made it 4-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. José Vítor Barral was left in no man's land by his defense there! No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-2 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dedé Teles made a kick off. Douglas Queiroz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Vítor Barral having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Dedé Teles's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but José Vítor Barral was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. Dedé Teles's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but José Vítor Barral read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Douglas Queiroz in the 61st minute of play forced Guarantan FC's goalkeeper José Vítor Barral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dedé Teles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Dedé Teles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. José Vítor Barral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dedé Teles, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tião Pombal in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Delfim Trancoso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 77th minute, Luís Paulo dos Santos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 80th minute of the match Bruninho da Fonseca shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but José Vítor Barral showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 83rd minute, Dedé Teles ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. José Vítor Barral was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-2. Delfim Trancoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tião Pombal in the 87th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Douglas Queiroz in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck José Vítor Barral prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 90th minute Douglas Queiroz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Vítor Barral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 92 minutes, Douglas Queiroz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Capivara SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Douglas Queiroz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 98th minute, Luís Paulo dos Santos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. For all the effort they put into the match, the Guarantan FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Capivara SC.
