Spectators: 6667 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1667, VIP seats: 0) Arrastao's Marco Bittencourt started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Uberlandia FC's Sílvio Quaresma played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marco Bittencourt in the 6th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marco Bittencourt in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sílvio Quaresma saved Uberlandia FC from getting behind. Sílvio Quaresma took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marco Bittencourt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Donato de Alcântara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Amílton Tande fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sílvio Quaresma having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Marco Bittencourt's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sílvio Quaresma was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. Holger Anzengruber made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eusébio Cavalcante in the 24th minute of play. Eusébio Cavalcante in the 26thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Holger Anzengruber, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Donato de Alcântara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Holger Anzengruber having to interfere. Holger Anzengruber made an important save on a dangerous shot by Donato de Alcântara in the 31st minute. After a rather tough play, Arrastao's Severino Lira got a free kick in the 33rd minute. In the 34th minute, Aílton Mendes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sílvio Quaresma came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by Arrastao's Marco Bittencourt. But to his dismay, Marco Bittencourt quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Arrastao's Tony Vinhas suffered a concussion in the 43rd minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. After 43 minutes, Waldemar Nogueira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Uberlandia FC and the Arrastao players grew even worse after the yellow card. Waldemar Nogueira kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Amílton Tande sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 47th minute Amílton Tande shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sílvio Quaresma saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eusébio Cavalcante stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute the ball was on its way in behind Uberlandia FC's goalkeeper Sílvio Quaresma, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpected shot in the 56th minute by Amílton Tande got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After a defensive mix-up in Arrastao's zone, Donato de Alcântara stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Holger Anzengruber came out of the goal and Donato de Alcântara tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Amílton Tande sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Amílton Tande received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Sílvio Quaresma tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marco Bittencourt blasted a shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sílvio Quaresma having to make a save. 75 minutes into the match, Amílton Tande notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Uberlandia FC's Sílvio Quaresma. Sílvio Quaresma was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Amílton Tande who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 79thth minute tested the skills of Sílvio Quaresma when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After having played for 80 minutes, Adelino Sampaio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Arrastao's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adelino Sampaio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Amílton Tandes short, quick shot in the 82ndth minute got Sílvio Quaresma to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After having played for 84 minutes, Donato de Alcântara managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Uberlandia FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Donato de Alcântara was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Marco Bittencourt managed to get in a good position for a shot. Arrastao's supporters rose to their feet, but Marco Bittencourt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sílvio Quaresma breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 90 minutes into the match, Arrastao's Amílton Tande sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sílvio Quaresma narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 92nd minute Eusébio Cavalcante shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Holger Anzengruber saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Amílton Tande struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Sílvio Quaresma didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Arrastao. Arrastao's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
