After 2 minutes, Lauro Braga mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Dinho FC and the Banca players grew even worse after the yellow card. Luiz Guilherme Gaspar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Maurinho Neves made a huge save. Carlos Alberto de Castro stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Maurinho Neves. 1-0. 27 minutes into the match, Banca's goalkeeper Maurinho Neves had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luiz Guilherme Gaspar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arlindo Madureira in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vladimir Dantas saved Dinho FC from getting behind. In the 32nd match minute, Dinho FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dé da Cunha to maneuver through the defense. When Claudinho Guedes fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dinho FC's protests and gave Claudinho Guedes a yellow card for diving instead. After having played for 41 minutes, Arlindo Madureira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Banca's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arlindo Madureira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Banca's Douglas Alvarenga suffered a sore knee after 44 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 44 minutes, Samuca de Carvalho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Dinho FC and the Banca players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Banca booed when Dinho FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Samuca de Carvalho didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Banca's Breno Cunha tried to score from far away in the 46th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Arlindo Madureira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Banca's supporters rose to their feet, but Arlindo Madureira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vladimir Dantas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Luís Fernando Teixeira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Banca booed when Dinho FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claudinho Guedes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dinho FC's Vladimir Dantas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Dinho FC from getting a goal against them. Washington Simões took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Maurinho Neves. Maurinho Neves dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Banca's Maurinho Neves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Washington Simões in the 73rd minute of play. A collision led to Banca getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Luís Fernando Teixeira hit a great ball. The referee ignored Banca's protests and gave Luís Fernando Teixeira a yellow card for diving instead.
