Spectators: 7180 (Terracing: 5457, Seating: 1673, VIP seats: 50) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Anselmo Pimenta took the kick off in the first half of the match. Magno Campidelis hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Gildo Pombal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Ricardo Quirino made a huge save. Gildo Pombal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Quirino having to interfere. A hard shot 19 in the game by Gildo Pombal from a close distance when the talented Ricardo Quirino managed to make a qualified save. Cumbauba FC's players were relieved. When FC Maciel's Anselmo Pimenta in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Cumbauba FC's goalie prevented a goal. If Anselmo Pimenta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ricardo Quirino made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Gildo Pombal sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, Cumbauba FC's Ricardo Quirino got control of the ball when Gildo Pombal tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jardel Sergipano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 36 minutes into the match, Aníbal Neiva had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jarbas Queirós. FC Maciel's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aníbal Neiva was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Jarbas Queirós came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by Cumbauba FC's Jardel Sergipano. But to his dismay, Jardel Sergipano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 57th minute, Anselmo Pimenta ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ricardo Quirino was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. If Aníbal Neiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aníbal Neiva struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Jarbas Queirós didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cumbauba FC. 69 minutes into the match, Cumbauba FC's Aníbal Neiva sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jarbas Queirós narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Gildo Pombal came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the FC Maciel fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gildo Pombal couldn't finish the play. Anselmo Pimenta might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ricardo Quirino. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Anselmo Pimenta ran back to his position shaking his head. After 77 played minutes Cumbauba FC got a freekick which was hit by Jardel Sergipano. Anselmo Pimenta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Ricardo Quirino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jardel Sergipano hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Jarbas Queirós made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Jardel Sergipano sent off a good shot on target. FC Maciel's Jarbas Queirós proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save FC Maciel from getting a goal against them. Cumbauba FC's Ricardo Quirino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anselmo Pimenta in the 93rd minute of play. Despite being the better team, Cumbauba FC failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
