The Tafu fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gildo Sampaio should have stopped the shot. Bruno Hermes charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Gildo Sampaio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diogo Alvarenga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Beto Miranda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sandrinho Schmidt in the 59th minute of play. Tafu's defense didn't have a chance, in the 63rd minute, when Diogo Alvarenga scored to the left of an out of position Gildo Sampaio, making the score, 1-4. Diogo Alvarenga blasted a shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gildo Sampaio having to make a save.
