After having played for 13 minutes, Norberto Salles managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. PALMEIRAS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Norberto Salles was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 26 minutes into the match, PALMEIRAS's goalkeeper Severino Lima had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alfredo Rosa. Cássio Queiroz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vinícius Antunes in the 30th minute of the match. Alfredo Rosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 40th match minute, PALMEIRAS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edson Batista to maneuver through the defense. Norberto Salles hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. If Fiori Catarinense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, PALMEIRAS's Severino Lima got control of the ball when Alfredo Rosa tried to sneak it across the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vinícius Antunes to make the kick off. In the 55th minute, Alfredo Rosa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Severino Lima was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. After 57 played minutes Nexus Club got a freekick which was hit by João Barreto. Nexus Club's Tobiáš Hříbek pulled a muscle in his back after 60 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Nexus Club's Elói Simões was substituted for Tobiáš Hříbek. After some careless play in the PALMEIRAS defense, Alfredo Rosa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Severino Lima. The PALMEIRAS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Severino Lima should have stopped the shot. 65 minutes into the game, Caco Damião was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. PALMEIRAS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nexus Club the free kick. In the 66th minute, Alfredo Rosa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Carter Di Nunzio in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Severino Lima prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 72nd minute of the match Christian Teixeira shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cássio Queiroz showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 73 minutes into the match, Nexus Club's goal looked a bit too open when Vinícius Antunes came free, but Cássio Queiroz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Severino Lima made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfredo Rosa in the 79th minute of play. Fiori Catarinense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 85th minute Olívio Bastos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Severino Lima saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carter Di Nunzio scored 4-0 in the 88th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Severino Lima, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Norberto Salles hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Carter Di Nunzio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Severino Lima was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game. In the 94th match minute, Nexus Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elói Simões to maneuver through the defense. There was no doubt that Nexus Club were the better team. Nexus Club's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
