Spectators: 6673 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1673, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Conrado Meireles started the match with the kick off. When Pedrão Gonçalves came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the CHAPECOENSE fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pedrão Gonçalves couldn't finish the play. Percival Soares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedrão Gonçalves in the 5th minute of play. Conrado Meireles scored 0-1 in the 7th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Percival Soares, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Percival Soares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Conrado Meireles in the 11th minute of the match. After 18 played minutes Navirai got a freekick which was hit by Ricardinho Moreno. 24 minutes into the game, CHAPECOENSE's Pedrão Gonçalves nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Percival Soares made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. In the 28th minute, Pedrão Gonçalves made a precise shot to the right of Percival Soares. Navirai's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. 31 minutes into the match, Pedrão Gonçalves had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Percival Soares. Navirai's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pedrão Gonçalves was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. When the match clock showed 35 minutes, the score became 1-5 when Pedrão Gonçalves sped through Navirai's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Percival Soares. Percival Soares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Oliveira, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. After a rather tough play, Navirai's Manolo Mandrak got a free kick in the 43rd minute. The corner ended in Remo Matos almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Navirai's Percival Soares did a great save. Guga Britto kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 1-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Serafim Garcia to strike the kick off in the second half. Percival Soares made an important save on a dangerous shot by Carlos Augusto Tinoco in the 56th minute. Navirai's Percival Soares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alan Marques in the 58th minute of play. In the 60th minute Pedrão Gonçalves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Percival Soares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 62 minutes into the match, Navirai's goalkeeper Percival Soares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Conrado Meireles. Pedrão Gonçalves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 66 played minutes Pedrão Gonçalves rounded Navirai's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-6. Manolo Mandrak kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Conrado Meireles did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-7 to the left of a surprised Percival Soares 73 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Navirai's Percival Soares got control of the ball when Conrado Meireles tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 83rd minute Pedrão Gonçalves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Percival Soares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind Navirai's goalkeeper Percival Soares, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Pedrão Gonçalves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Perivaldo Donato during the 92nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 92nd minute, Perivaldo Donato hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 94th minute Pedrão Gonçalves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Percival Soares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 95 minutes into the game, Conrado Meireles cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-8. Percival Soares was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the match was over CHAPECOENSE could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Navirai throughout the match.
