Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Nestor do Valle took the kick off in the first half of the match. When Nico de Sena came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Jardineiro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nico de Sena couldn't finish the play. In the 4th minute Walmir Urbano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Norberto Esteves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. José Maria Andrade's late challenge caught a Jardineiro's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. José Maria Andrade helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Jardineiro booed when Pindoretama EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Maria Andrade didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Walmir Urbano came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Jardineiro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Walmir Urbano couldn't finish the play. Nico de Sena recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Jardineiro getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Manolo Valadares hit a great ball. Pindoretama EC's Rony Prata got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nestor do Valle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elivélton Arruda having to interfere. Manolo Valadares kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Pindoretama EC's Genílson Batista shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 26th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Elivélton Arruda but with some difficulty. José Maria Andrade received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Elivélton Arruda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 35th minute, Nestor do Valle got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 39th play minute Rony Prata came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Elivélton Arruda. 1-2. Nestor do Valle might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Elivélton Arruda. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nestor do Valle ran back to his position shaking his head. Pindoretama EC's Rony Prata got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half Jardineiro were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Walmir Urbano stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Norberto Esteves made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nico de Sena in the 53rd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nestor do Valle in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Elivélton Arruda saved Jardineiro from getting behind. Elivélton Arruda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nestor do Valle in the 61st minute of play. The nice shot from Nico de Sena in the 63rdth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Norberto Esteves had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. Jardineiro's Elivélton Arruda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nestor do Valle in the 66th minute of play. 71 minutes into the match, Pindoretama EC's Rony Prata sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Elivélton Arruda narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When José Maria Andrade was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 76 minutes had been played. The supporters of Jardineiro booed when Pindoretama EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Maria Andrade didn't get a good kick on the ball. Walmir Urbano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Norberto Esteves having to interfere. Rony Prata struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Elivélton Arruda didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pindoretama EC. Elivélton Arruda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nestor do Valle, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. If Rony Prata had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chants of Jardineiro echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Pindoretama EC had held the ball for most of the match.
