With an extended leg and a bit of luck Samuel Carvalho prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sport Club Baid were furious when Luís Guilherme Hermes was red carded, 12 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 12th minute of the game. One of Sport Club Baid:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of São Luís FC:s goal. In the 19th minute, Leandro Prado made a precise shot to the right of Samuel Carvalho. Sport Club Baid's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. 30 minutes into the match, Sport Club Baid's goal looked a bit too open when Leandro Prado came free, but Samuel Carvalho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 32 minutes into the game, Adriano Santos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Samuel Carvalho was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Leandro Prado's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Samuel Carvalho read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leandro Prado in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Samuel Carvalho saved Sport Club Baid from getting behind. In the 46th minute Leandro Prado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Samuel Carvalho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

Leandro Prado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Samuel Carvalho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Sport Club Baid getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Norberto Viana hit a great ball. Samuel Carvalho stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Leandro Prado's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. Samuel Carvalho made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leandro Prado in the 67th minute. São Luís FC's Vinícius Santana got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Samuel Carvalho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leandro Prado in the 70th minute of the match. Sport Club Baid's Samuel Carvalho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leandro Prado in the 77th minute of play. Leandro Prado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Samuel Carvalho having to interfere. Samuel Carvalho didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when São Luís FC's Leandro Prado shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-6 in the ordered_time% minute.
