Rafa Montenegro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rafa Montenegro came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by Cordilheiras SS's Almir Aguiar. But to his dismay, Almir Aguiar quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After a defensive mix-up in Bandeirinha AD's zone, Leandro Custódio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rafa Montenegro came out of the goal and Leandro Custódio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 29 minutes, Almir Aguiar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cordilheiras SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Almir Aguiar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 33rd minute, Walmir Queirós reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Carlos Alberto Mandrak. The goal made the score 1-2. Carlos Alberto Mandrak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Walmir Queirós in the 37th minute of the match. Bandeirinha AD's Rafa Montenegro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Almir Aguiar in the 39th minute of play. After some careless play in the Bandeirinha AD defense, Leandro Custódio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rafa Montenegro. The Bandeirinha AD fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rafa Montenegro should have stopped the shot. Leandro Custódio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Rafa Montenegro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Almir Aguiar stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Rafa Montenegro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Almir Aguiar's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. When the match clock showed 60 minutes, the score became 1-4 when Leandro Custódio sped through Bandeirinha AD's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Rafa Montenegro. Rafa Montenegro made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Leandro Custódio sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Cordilheiras SS booed when Bandeirinha AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rony Pitta didn't get a good kick on the ball. Walmir Queirós struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Carlos Alberto Mandrak didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bandeirinha AD. Rafa Montenegro didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Cordilheiras SS's Leandro Custódio shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-5 in the ordered_time% minute. In the 75th minute, Walmir Queirós got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Valdemar de Lara hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Bandeirinha AD's Rafa Montenegro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Almir Aguiar in the 80th minute of play. In the 81st minute, Leandro Custódio made a precise shot to the right of Rafa Montenegro. Bandeirinha AD's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-6. With a little luck, Bandeirinha AD's Rafa Montenegro got control of the ball when Leandro Custódio tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 96th minute Cordilheiras SS were awarded a corner. Elias Gaúcho went to the cornerflag to take it. Marco Fernandez was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marco Fernandez in the 96th minute of play forced Bandeirinha AD's goalkeeper Rafa Montenegro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the final whistle sounded Cordilheiras SS left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Bandeirinha AD.
