When Igor Cavalcante came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Sugar Kane fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Igor Cavalcante couldn't finish the play. Ivo Schmidt kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Leão da Paulista's zone, Nando Rocha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mateus Dantas came out of the goal and Nando Rocha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 38th minute, Chico Salles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Maurinho Leme fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mateus Dantas having to interfere. In the 46th minute, Leão da Paulista's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Igor Cavalcante fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Leão da Paulista's Mateus Dantas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 48th minute of the match, managed to save Leão da Paulista from getting a goal against them.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Igor Cavalcante to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Sugar Kane's Maurinho Leme nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mateus Dantas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Leão da Paulista's Mateus Dantas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Igor Cavalcante in the 59th minute of play. Mateus Dantas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nando Rocha went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Igor Cavalcante recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Maurinho Leme sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nando Rocha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Mateus Dantas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 82nd minute, Rodolfo Xavier hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pedrão Guimarães struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Mateus Dantas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sugar Kane.
