The referee ignored Carvoal's protests and gave Túlio Jacinto a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of DELMIRO F.C. booed when Carvoal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Túlio Jacinto didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 24th match minute, Carvoal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Geraldo Faria to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Carvoal's zone, Gugu Novaes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Michel Lucas came out of the goal and Gugu Novaes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Baltazar Motta hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match.

Michel Lucas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baltazar Motta in the 58th minute of the match. Jacques Peters made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Cido Leal sent off a good shot on target. Jacques Peters made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luizão Mattos in the 62nd minute of play. In the 63rd minute Luizão Mattos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacques Peters saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Michel Lucas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baltazar Motta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Michel Lucas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gugu Novaes in the 66th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gugu Novaes in the 68th minute of play forced Carvoal's goalkeeper Michel Lucas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Túlio Jacinto kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. In the 70th minute, Gugu Novaes made a precise shot to the right of Michel Lucas. Carvoal's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Haroldo Abreu kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. In the 94th minute, Luizão Mattos reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jacques Peters. The goal made the score 2-2. DELMIRO F.C. were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
