After a rather tough play, Canhuma AD's Rubens das Neves got a free kick in the 26th minute. Francisco Pirani charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Francisco Pirani the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 28th match minute, Canhuma AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Francisco Pirani to maneuver through the defense. Kaká Camargo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tuncer Canberk having to interfere. Canhuma AD's Francisco Pirani got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ezequiel Cardoso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 38 minutes into the match, Canhuma AD's Ezequiel Cardoso sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Edinho Dracena narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Francisco Pirani might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Edinho Dracena. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Francisco Pirani ran back to his position shaking his head. Ezequiel Cardoso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Edinho Dracena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Narciso Abreu to make the kick off. In the 51st minute Ezequiel Cardoso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edinho Dracena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. João Paulo Valle's late challenge caught a Canhuma AD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. João Paulo Valle helped the player get up and apologised. In the 52nd minute, João Paulo Valle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 57 minutes, Ezequiel Cardoso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Canhuma AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ezequiel Cardoso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Narciso Abreu struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Tuncer Canberk didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Laranjal FC. When the match clock showed 62 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Ezequiel Cardoso sped through Laranjal FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Edinho Dracena. In the 68th minute, Ezequiel Cardoso ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Edinho Dracena was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. When Francisco Pirani came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Canhuma AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Francisco Pirani couldn't finish the play. In the 83rd minute Ezequiel Cardoso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edinho Dracena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 87 minutes into the match, Francisco Pirani had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Edinho Dracena. Laranjal FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Francisco Pirani was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ezequiel Cardoso in the 97th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edinho Dracena saved Laranjal FC from getting behind. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Canhuma AD had played much better football throughout.
