After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Walmyr Dracena managed to get in a good position for a shot. Trindade's supporters rose to their feet, but Walmyr Dracena was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Serginho Queiroz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ivo Freitas hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Walmyr Dracena stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Walmyr Dracena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cléberson Ramos charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee ignored Trindade's protests and gave Hamílton Botelho a yellow card for diving instead. Hamílton Botelho kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Serginho Queiroz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Walmyr Dracena in the 72nd minute of the match. Aleandro de Lara kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. When Walmyr Dracena came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Trindade fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Walmyr Dracena couldn't finish the play. Walmyr Dracena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Juritis EC's zone, Hamílton de Barros stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Serginho Queiroz came out of the goal and Hamílton de Barros tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Walmyr Dracena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Serginho Queiroz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Hamílton de Barros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Trindade had played much better football throughout.
