Dedê das Neves received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Marcel de Brito came out and tried to block the shot, but Dedê das Neves slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 14th minute. Marcel de Brito stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luizão Nunes's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. Dedê das Neves might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcel de Brito. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dedê das Neves ran back to his position shaking his head. Sílvio Luiz Fonseca's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Marcel de Brito firmly grabbed it by the left post. With his leg Marcel de Brito managed to avoid a goal in the 22ndth minute, when Guarulhos Alviverde FC's Dedê das Neves fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 28th minute, Sílvio Luiz Fonseca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ediberto Cerezo kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Augusto Barros managed to get in a good position for a shot. Efigenia's supporters rose to their feet, but Augusto Barros was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The supporters of Guarulhos Alviverde FC booed when Efigenia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ediberto Cerezo didn't get a good kick on the ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Guarulhos Alviverde FC fully deserved thier win.
