The audience thought a goal was coming when Gonçalo Tande got free with Alexandre Lago in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-0.

Vista SS's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 58 minutes into the match, Baia FC's Laerte Maranhense sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alexandre Lago narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The Baia FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Vista SS had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
